I was hoping some Fluence users could answer a question for me.

I want to know if I can direct swap a Fluence for an EMG without grounding issues. I have a HSS EMG Strat type guitar and think I'd like to try a Fluence in the bridge. I really like the neck and mid positions and want to keep them as is. Not to mention I am terrible at soldering and really don't need all the options Fluence offers. If I really like them I may have a tech solder some up for me but, for now I'd like to just plug and play to sample the Fluence.

My concern is grounding issues. My EMG's are not grounded and wonder if the Fluence will buzz without a ground.

Thank you for any info.

I'm curious about this as well, I think it works but there may be phase issues if you mix them with the emg's at the same time? I think I read that somewhere? I'm not sure about the ground issue, but I will be in the same boat if I try it on my LTD. I know you will only have access to one voice on the pickup. Hopefully someone will jump in that has actually tried this.

I did it, didn’t have grounding issues. Can’t remember if my EMGs were grounded tho.

It’s a direct swap, but like said above you’ll only have the one voicing.
