I lost my EDC flashlight in a mosh pit this week. I was bummed. I have another Streamlight ordered to replace it. This time I went with the MacroStream. It's double the lumens and USB-C rechargeable.

I feel naked without it. The world is never bright enough.

I have probably a dozen “inspection” style flashlights in my truck, but use the light on my phone 99% of the time
The phone is great, when you're up close, but they don't have much in the way of candela to reach out. Just snagged the BRAUN, Harbor Freight Tools Streamlight TLR-1 HL Clone!

Good move since they will soon be unobtanium. They ( HF ) are being sued as we speak by Streamlight.

I'm still carrying around the little Streamlight Wedge. Unbelievably efficient battery in this little bastard.

They reworked them, they were on hold for awhile, likely while they were removing the silver ring from the front of the light. I think it looks better without it, sleek! And without logos and model numbers all down the side it makes me think this is how they all should be!

Nice USP.

I ended up replacing my Streamlight Microstream with another Streamlight Microstream. I tried the Macrostream, but it was bigger, brighter, and the battery didn't last as long. It ended up dying on me during a recording session, and I had to use my phone. Holy shit using the phone sucks balls. I can deploy my flashlight in a fraction of the time it takes me to get my phone out, let alone open the flashlight. Plus, a phone is a phone, not designed to hold as a flashlight.

My new Microstream defaults to low at first press, and then double tap for high, which is better than the opposite. This battery should last even longer between charges, which was incredible to begin with. I finally feel like I properly replaced my lost flashlight.

I'm tellin' ya man, check out the wedge. Defaults to 300 and a push on the lever sets it up to 1000. I charged it once when I got it. The little light was still green, but I wanted to make sure it was charged fully. Haven't had to charge it since.
