I’m not super intimate with the process, but I reckon if it was simpler to become a citizen, most of the illegals wouldn’t be here illegally anymore. I don’t believe they come here just to pull one over on anyone. If people want to work then let them work

We used to have something called a Bracero Program and there was no need for a border fence/wall. The immigration problems began when the US started destabilizing Central American governments in the name of “freedom”.

plenty of people follow the process; guess the illegal bordercrossers are not capable of doing that? maybe they should have unfair advantage over everyone else, wouldn't be the first time.


It's not meant to be simple; try becoming a citizen of any other country by illegally crossing their border...see how that works. try Mexico for example

I might be going on a limb here but other countries may not need people coming in to their countries they way USA does.
Our workforce is garbage. We are already “hiring” illegal labor, so we might as well make them legal.

we don't need more people coming in; that's what keeps wages down.

look at the illegals being housed in Chicago, they're not working, but Chicago plans to spend $51M on them, and more; meanwhile the poor American citizens and homeless in Chicago go to the back of the line...no funds for them.
 
We had 31 illegals removed in one day about 3 years ago, out of 60 total employees.
Slowed us down for a week or so, but contrary to platitudes..whites, blacks, and legal immigrants etc...will frequently do the same work for the same wages.
Help with immigration legalities were offered over a few years but only 4 took advantage of it. The 4 are still there.
