I installed my new brass block. Here's a comparison for you guys. Turn it up loud. Play them back to back.

It took me to long to down load in between. I could not tell the difference. Do you have more sustain with the brass. What amp was that ? You have a nice sound going.

Did you turn the volume up on the upgraded clip? Does the block make the guitar that much louder?

I didn't do mp3's on purpose. You can't hear the difference. In Cubase I have the project set to 24 bit 96khz and the difference is HUGE! Even my wife noticed it.

I just put one of those in my super strat . I noticed a difference right away when I played it unplugged . It rang & sustained a lot better . Very nice

Yeah... At first I thought it sounded the same... Adam told me to record the guitar with the old block then with the new block. I'm thinking "yeah right... if I don't hear the difference acoustically, why would I hear it recorded". But I plugged in, played the same thing and couldn't believe my ears! I was looking for what I had turned on to boost the volume and mids! LOL!
Even my wife heard the difference.

Interesting. I've been using the bigger brass upgrades for a while now, the Performance Guitar DeMartini ones which are HUGE! To be honest, I never did a test like that so I really didn't know if they made a difference or not. I spoke to Adam about the Titanium one, they were $495.00 then, they have come down to about $260.00 now, I just have a feeling Titanium would have too much treble.
Yeah I was expecting the opposite results...I thought I'd hear it in person and NOT on the clip. But I guess unless you compare them back to back, it's hard to hear. I noticed alot more sustain in person, but I didn't think the tone changed alot. Guess I was wrong!! LOL!
I thought the same thing, but you never know. I do know that that's ALOT of money for a block! LOL!
I figured I'd try the big brass one... Glad I did.

He is a cool guy. I sent him those comparison clips. You should hear the difference in those clips at 24 bit 96khz! It's like night and day! I swear I was looking if stepped on some pedal some where! LOL!

Cool, thanks for doing that. I've been curious about those because the theory behind them always made sense to me, but you never know for sure until you hear it. I thought it was a very noticeable difference. Much more robust sounding.
