floydupgrades degrades

thanks for the support MMB
and for the link
if there are any others that do floyd blocks, I could do with the help

now Adam is saying he sent 2 replacements
the email confirming this could be posted
if it existed

here's what floydupgrades did not do:
they did not offer a replacement, it was straight to refund
they did not offer to refund the shipping return (remember I am in the UK)
they did not accept that it was a manufacturing defect
they did not at any time apologize for the defective part sent
they did not contact me before the refund was actioned
they did not refund the full amount
they did not refund the return shipping
they did not acknowledge the part I returned was received
they did not say they examined the part and seen the defect
they did not then tell me a replacement had been sent
they did not confirm they had shipped a replacement when asked
they did not chase their shipping company to ask what became of the replacement allegedly sent
it appears the last 3 we can say twice over
they did not see this coming

I am not Warren DiMartini
neither are you

The refund was minus shipping and fees – is that direct?

Enjoy the rest of your day~

Adam
the refund should be adding my shipping and not charging fees
I got $33, you cost me $49.80

enjoy your day too

Man, I hate stuff like this. My experience with FRUs was excellent. Adam even threw in (for free) stainless steel intonation screws to complete my set - I had missed them in my order. Product works great.

I am in the middle of a 5 year Private Stock nightmare with PRS that I have roughly 14K into, and Paul himself has just dismissed me and passed me on to other people who are not helping me. But everyone over at Birds and Moons just raves about PRS customer service, and my complaints just made me a pariah over there.

My experience with Adam has been great, and that's all I can go off of. I will continue to support him and the Co.

3 months/$15 against 5yrs/$14000.
are you saying your case is more important than mine?
joking, obviously :0

I realise this is small potatoes in comparison, and am sorry to hear of your nightmare with PRS; that's terrible.
you make a good point that in an area of perceived support, it can be very hard to make a case
against a favored supplier
no matter the evidence it would seem

Count me in! I will carry it all... He will still not be happy. This is so crazy!

i've spoken with Adam more than once in e-mails, usually he's been real down to earth and answered my questions.

however, the latest e-mail i got back was somewhat disoncerning. i asked if the brass blocks designed for floyd rose tremelo's would take away fulltilt functions of the guitar and his reply was to take a dremel to my $2,600 ESP and carve it out if it doesnt.

not really the answer i expected :dunno: a "yes" or a "no" would have been fine. not a maybe and a suggestion. the answer still doesnt help my situation.

however im still going to do business with floydupgrades 100% in the future. if there is indeed a problem with the block then thats what the make files and tools for. even if i take off an edge of the block - it is still much larger than anything else you can use.

I'm in for $1.80, just to even it out :D

Seeing as Jazzer is in the UK, any chance that the free block is held up in shipping? I had a formal complaint filed against me on eBay a few years back on a guitar I sold to a UK buyer. After about two months, he thought I ripped him off and filed the complaint. I had all of the shipping documents so I was able to show that I did in fact send it. It showed up about a week later.

Hey Supah Star -
I suggested that the range of motion should still be fine but if it was not, you could shave the inside face of the cavity with a dremel (where the block would touch on an upward pull) - Odds are you would not have to. If you were not up for the mod yourself, I would take it to a pro. It is an easy mod that you could not mess up - just a suggestion. Call or email me if you need additional help - happy to do so!
Rockin!

having documents puts you one-up on floydupgrades
I asked twice if it had been more that 10 days since the item was supposedly sent
figuring that was the longest it should reasonable take
there was no direct reply

Like I said in our private emails Lee - BE SPECIFIC - what will make you happy?

Did I mention the 3 new products that went up today (for the rest of you) - Jackson Blocks! Peavey Wolfgang Blocks! Brass Claws!

Look for other new products from my other company - D-Tuner (EVH D-Tuna) in the coming weeks too! Very cool stuff.

Have a great weekend all!
Cheers!
Adam

Adam
you did ask that, in fact that is almost a quote.
We might be getting somewhere.

My reply then was as it is now, and I learned fast to be brief in the emails.
I said: "Send me a block."
that is all I ever wanted.

Unequivocal.
At least I thought so at the time.

I have been very pleased with my recent dealings with Adam. Super easy to work with, great products and fast shipping!

+1 more...

If the two blocks have been sent, has the shipping company been contacted to see whether or not they have been delivered? Seems like if they say "yes", end of discussion.

i got my block fast, and quick, everything was great for me.

Yeah that's what I've been thinking reading this saga...where's the tracking number in all this?
