Fly Dates & Travel with Guitars (HELP!)

I just accepted a gig with a project (lead guitar)....we'll have paid travel and hotel with a provided back-line. I need suggestions on traveling with two electric guitars (Les Paul & Telecaster)...plus a small pedalboard like a pedaltrain jr. I've seen padded travel gig-bags that can hold "two" guitars but if I have to check the guitars I'm afraid of damage. Plus will TSA freak out with a carry on pedalboard ?

Any help or experience with this situation??

There is a regulation where airlines have to allow you to store your instrument in the overhead carryon.the trick is boarding soon enough so there is space, otherwise they’ll check it. I would not check it.

You can carry on a pedal board, they may or may not rip it apart if they think it's a bomb, lol. As for the guitars I would NEVER check a padded gig bag EVER. Especially for a LP. Check with the airline they may let you check the guitars at the door. I wouldn't check a LP or any guitar that has pitched headstock. Tele's are tele's. Good luck!
