Use it as a direct plugin on the track.
If you are going to bus in the effect, make sure you add an effects track that is MONO, not stereo.
You can use it in a stereo bus, but it will favor one side.
What recording software are you using?

I use Nuendo, which works the same as Cubase etc.

Yep. I like to put leads on 1 buss, so I don't have to enable every single track with a plugin.

Have any others?

Waves plugins, oxford, bombfactory, focusrite, lexicon....those are not free. The giant amount our studio spent on them will show that. If those are distributed as "free", then they are pirated, and it is in bad taste to distribute those on a public forum. Not sure how Brad feels about it, but I know it makes some people uncomfortable, and is looked upon as tacky.

Waves Mercury alone lists for $15,000.

All my plugins were gifts from "friends"
I know exactly what software costs.
I am not telling anyone to pirate anything, nor am I distributing any pirated software.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to acquire anything on the net.
All I did was post a link to a FREE plugin.
You are starting to sound like Larz Ulrich.
Pull your panties out of your vag and move on.
You and your studio can do what you want as can anyone else on any forum.
Everyone here has their own way of doing things.
I chose to share a free plugin with the forum.
If you feel the need to donate to the writer, you can do so on his page.
Thanks for the great advice.

No need for personal attacks. You shared free plugins, which is awesome, and I wouldn't attack you for that at all. Nor was I attacking your for anything else, just pointing out that "Waves Mercury 5.0 AiR" is not a "gift from a friend" but a pirated and cracked Waves plugin, and it seemed from your post that you would be willing to share those. All I was saying is it was in poor taste. These are some forums that would ban you immediately for making even the suggestion. And if you wanna start insulting me for not being ok with pirating software/music/whatever, then fine, I have no problem with that. The fact that I'm a working musician entitles me to that opinion, I believe.
