Even though the 35 had a little more grunt in the lower mids, I preferred the openess and feeling of stereo spread the Triaxis had. Really nice top end on it too.V2, TX4 Board, Recto and Phat Mods...

Dude... I went through hell getting mine up and running...Yep, i prefer the triaxis as well
Sucks that it's so hard to find them in good working order these days

Luckily, and after a nice dollar amount, she's kicking ass... but, of course, after all the tech work, the fucking battery needs to be replaced now... can't save presets!!!! Doesn't bother me too much since I'm not doing shows and need presets, but just more fucking money... ugh...
But, loving it... I think I ultimately prefer the Mark V:35... just 'easier' to play... feels effortless... the Triaxis is always a glorious struggle...
Can’t remember the last time I saw one that wasn’t in rough shape. Which is wild because they’ll price it like it’s in excellent condition but is beat to shit, even have some things, outright not working. For what they price at now, selling makes sense. I personally wouldn’t buy one at these prices but I’m also an old RT grump (following said as ol’ timer) who remembers when a can of soda was 50c and stores had 1c candy in a jar!Yep, i prefer the triaxis as well

I had a Mesa Quad that I got pre-covid from GC used for around $800. Really dug it. But after Covid it got to where I could sell it for 2K and at the same time it started being a little inconsistent in sound (got checked out for any issues but nothing found) and I didn’t have my finances in order like I do now, so it felt stupid not to sell it.
I would never spend anything near 2K for a Quad or similar for a Studio Pre. Last time I had a Studio Pre around 2012/13 they were consistently $4-450.
The only thing I regret about selling the Quad was it made no sense to keep the 50/50 I got for it, so sold that too. Simple but great poweramp.
