I remember when the Atari 2600 came out, we played it for about a 1/2 hour and said fuck this shit and went outside and played baseball

40 even here. Thanks for posting that!! :D

That made perfect sense... There can be a whole lot more said regarding just one on one communication these days.

Teenagers now have complete boyfriend/girlfriend relationships, arguments, make-ups, and total break-ups all via text messaging... wtf? They don't have to speak one word to the other person.

In my day if you liked a girl you HAD to talk to them either in person or at least talk over the phone to ask them out and face the result! If you didn't want to go out with them anymore you had to be a man and at least tell them and HEAR the result.

Parents these days, if they allow text messaging to go on with their kids, are a big part of this problem and are totally setting up their kids and the future generation in fact to be one gigantic anti-social society.

Just not enough good ol fashioned ass whippins today..Now your kid will have you arrested!!!! lol!!

This is all to true made me chuckle.I never had cable till 1993 when my wife and I moved into town.Heck I did not even know what it was like to have a pizzia delivered till we moved into town.

I think we got it around 1985...

I can remember the first video game I had was some kind of a tennes type game where all you had was a line on either side and a square dot that went back and fourth and you could move the lines up and down.

That's right. The last age where Men had Stones.

I didn't even have a VCR until I was 15 (1985). It was amazing to actually watch movies at home.

When I was 13 in Detroit I was making out with Jaala Johnson when Patti Smith came out of her back door and yelled that at us.

That was about the time I found out who MC5 was .....

Besides you, me and Kage - who else has ever heard about them?

Pat? Maybe. Btw - you americans had that 20 feet cable for the phone, being able to run around in the kitchen while talking. We couldn't. The phone company was regulated like shit (and governmental) with the shortest cable you could imagine - and worst part: the phone was located in the center of the house so that everybody (esp. the parents) could listen to every single word spoken.

We also had it a little easier, we only had to get under a school desk to protect us from nuclear fallout.
:D
