Got cable in 1983 I think, I remember running in the house and turning on MTV and just standing there drooling while watching Quiet Riot

First vcr was 1984, some $500 JVC I scored illegally let's just say and the remote would pop off the front........we were in awe!!

Remember the first cd player, a friend bought one and about 6 of us when to his house to check it out......huge shit back then

My father BUILT one of our tvs, heathkit 25" console.

When to the store with my father to get one of those new cassette players to replace the 8 track that sat on the stereo console where a wood door would flip up to expose the turntable.

A 1984 IBM PS2 is still in my parents basement.....................................with monochrome 13" monitor.

Yeah, but I never wore a helmet when riding a bike. "I reckon you'd get yer ass kicked" (Office Space)... I never coated myself with sunscreen before going outside. And I was outside every day that wasn't pouring, all summer. I'm pretty sure I wasn't in a car seat up to the ripe old age of 6. Despite all of that, I came out just fine!

For different reasons I agree. I feel technology isn't helping the kids and is just making them become socially insulated. I remember when the only way to have friends usually involved talking to someone's face.
