I think from album 3 and in he did no wrong . I like the first 2 albums still alot . And I also think for myself death is the only band where each album was better than the next and ended at peak .

He's definitely one of the greatest metal minds to pick up a guitar. Seemed pretty uncompromising about his musical vision which is worthy of respect. Didn't know there was a doc on him now, that's cool.

Necrophagist and Obscura are the tech versions of deaths style too . They owe chuck a lot as well. Great bands

That's a good documentary, my wife bought me a copy on DVD for Christmas a couple of years ago.
A big influence on Chuck was Watchtower - their Control And Resistance album is a good place to start and you can hear the influence, especially in later years and the Control Denied album and demos
