For those of you who play or have played it:

Anyone run a clean boost or overdrive pedal into it? If so, how much further into high-gain territory does it take it? I've seen several YT vids demonstrating the amp modes and all sound great, but for the one that shows off a "metal" tone. (That one - in my opinion mind you - seems really trebley, bright, and scratchy. I realize it's being played at low volumes and through an Avatar 1x12 cab, but still.)

I know it's not intended to be a metal amp and that the Natas model will handle that. I just think the Bones sounds so good in every respect and thought a boost might get it a touch more into the high-gain territory (more than it is on its own).

Anyway, I'm rambling so I'll stop and await responses?

it takes to pedals really well and I don't want to put words in Mikes mouth but Im pretty sure that he could hop up the gain even more on the bones should you want it.
All the best!

Thanks for the replies. It has such a nice tone on all modes and has plenty of gain as is, I was just curious about the whole boost factor. Shame there aren't more clips of this thing (and the Meathead for that matter)!

With that said, Ive been told that clips are comming!! Mikes just been real busy!!

To be honest I would have little need for a boost with the Bones as the feel is good and it has a great mv for low level playing. Maybe to get it over the top for harder metal and maybe a level bump to make the feel different but that would be it.

Volume bump if gigging.
