Fortin Cali Mod v Friedman Kitchen Sink mod

I am wanting to get a Marshall 2203 modded and was wondering how these mods are different(tone wise).

I love the Cameron LG/HG Jose mods and thats what I am looking for. Also I have a PT-100 and was wondering how close these mods would be to it.

I posted a thread similar to this one. I received a lot of great info from RT. I also email both Friedman and Fortin asking for information and prices of their mods. I also asked what amp they needed me to send them to mod. Both were very quick to email me back with all the info. Mr. Fortin is not taking any new amps for mods until June at the earliest.

Now the hard part, me trying to decide what mod to get.

Can you share the amps they can use?

Yeah here is what they both said in emails.

Friedman:An slp reissue or 800 reissue or a old 800 or jmp would be good.

Fortin: The older JCM 800 Vertical or horizontal inputs are great candidates. Also the Metro kit amps already assembled also a great option for the Cali

I would really love a Hulk modded jmp or jcm 800. It's so amazing sounding.

Here's an update I missed that Handwired bottom soo much i found another, should be here next week. Loaded with the Heritage H30's. And i have an older Mojo 2x12 that i bought from Dave, loaded with 2 Scumback M75's. The scums are really warm and deep sounding. I'm not soo sure they sound just like the old Greenbacks, but they sound really good. I needed a few days with them to tweak the amp on this cab.

You should have never gotten rid of that thing

Dave said it turned out to be his favorite, and I agree that it sounds awesome.

I have played a Fortin, Friedman, and Cameron (I think I'm one of the few who have heard 'em all). I hate to say it, but it all comes down to taste.

My favorite is the Fortin... and I'm working on it

So i got a JCM 800 2203. Gonna get the Kitchen Sink Mod, Sat & Modern Switches, and JC Mod. Also getting his Marsha OT tranny installed. This think should be a beast!

Does any of these mods sound similar to a Jubilee?

Had a Jubilee and currently own the Friedman Mod and the Jubilee does't sound similar and can't touch the Friedman. You'll see.
