Volume was fairly low, higher than TV/bedroom volume but not near band volume. I sat in another room so the you couldn't hear string noise.

How responsive is the EQ now? Most 1959's have a pretty mild sweep in the EQ, especially in the mids. Even lowered they still have a ton of midrange. Does it respond more like a JCM800 EQ now?

The mod is almost a total rebuild of the amp and it is soooooo different from a Plexi or 800 now, the tone controls are very responsive.
