This is going to be an insane amp and thanks go out to Mike for putting up with my Bullshit, making killer steaks and just generally listening to what I want and need in an amp, for someone who has bullshit skill on the guitar to be treated like a total pro artist is awesome! So thanks again Mike and I look forward to sending you a hundred more annoying emails!

That's cool I like the black chassis on that goes great with the green.

What does it say below the masters in the MIDI switching ? I can not make most of it out.

It looks great in that color.

Mike's a mad fookin scientist. I can only imagine the time that went into breathing life into that design.

That's cool Chris  I really appreciate everyone's patience who has current orders for the Meathead. I've had a great deal of issues with rev. additions to pcbs, panels, lead times on custom parts etc. The growing pains of getting a company off the ground. The second round of Meathead production amps should go much smoother.

The chassis has also been changed to a 1/8" thick brushed aluminum alodine treated. The proto Meathead was built with a 14 gauge stainless steel chassis. It's way too heavy so I had to switch to an aluminum just for the Meathead. At this time, the Bones and Natas will still have the SS chassis.

This black paneled Meathead is a custom order. The stock panels will still be in the clear aluminum with black lettering looking just like the above

That is all the switches on the prototype now relocated to the front. They are MIDI programmable and light up just like the channel switches.
First row under the Masters left to right: Boost, Voicing L, Voicing M, Voicing H
Second row from left to right: FX, Loop 2, Master 2, Store

Any octal based power tube can be used just like in the Bones. The Meathead will ship with 2 Winged-C- 6L6 and 2 Winged-C- EL34. Custom outputs can be done at the request of the customer. I think Chris wants to go with 6550s. Since he's close to me, I think we'll experiment with a bunch of combos in the outputs so he can hear what they contribute to the tone. Yes, 9 preamp tubes. Mainly Tungsol reissues, NOS Jan Philips 12ax7s in certain positions as well as a NOS Sylvania 12at7 for the loop, until my supplies of the NOS last.

Some additional info about the MIDI in the amp. It is an RJM custom MIDI board. Ron is an amazingly talented person. I've been pain in his ass for the last couple years while I was designing the Meathead. The Meathead also responds to CC. If you have an intelligent midi footcontroller such as a liquid foot, you can turn the midi pedal into a virtual Meathead pedal board and toggle the features on/off on the fly. Example, sending a program number to load up a preset stored on the Meathead and other fx patches with a rack unit, then on the CC buttons of the pedal board, you will be able to toggle the BOOST, FX LOOP, 2 MASTERS, even the VOICING L/M/H in real time, on the fly. This makes the Meathead even more powerful in a live siutation.

The Meathead is super easy to program. The amp supplies the power to MIDI pedal boards. Plug in the MIDI pedal board of your choice, send it a program number, walk up to the Meathead, select the channel, boost, voicing, master, fx loop options etc....then press and hold the store button until it blinks at you and that is it  Super simple.

Carl Roa's Meathead has the same colored headshell as Chris's but will have green aluminum panels with white lettering.

Thanks for everyone's interest. I've got to get back to it now and call a customer to tell him his Bones order is shipping
Cheers,
Mike

Sorry if I jumped the gun and posted that pic! it's been burning in my inbox for a week hahahaha
