The agreement I have with "the girl" is whatever I blow on toys is the same as what she gets. She loves the idea that I want this amp. The agreement is 20 years old and she always ends up with more .... but we do not fight about this stuff. Believe me we have plenty to fight about......

Thanx Mike for the reply. It looks amazing.

That amp is really only a foot high? It looks taller.

Regardless, I can't wait to try the freakin' prototype next saturday

Man I was against so many knobs, but I'm definitely warming up to the idea. Must .... resist

Are there any more clips meanwhile?

Good luck with all the difficulties, hope your production logistics will soon be timed smoothly and all your suppliers are up to speed!

That's right, it is no bigger than a Diezel VH4 and weights a little bit more due to the 3 inch thick PT and all the PEC pots. This is with the new aluminum chassis. The prototype is heavy and will shoot your balls up into your stomach it so freaking heavy

Yes, I've got more clips, it's on the schedule. More important to get amps out at this time since people's money is involved. Waiting for one last issue to get resolved. It should arrive while I'm in NY. Should be fine

Cheers,
Mike

$5,000

will that be cash or check?

The amp is not for everyone, no doubt about that but for those who gig alot and have the means that amp is worth it and this coming from a cheap bastard. I have seen, played, and heard the amp though very capable hands and there is nothing that amp cannot do.

Yeah I am a fanboi but I am also very straight with my opinions, I have bashed other brands that I am known to like alot.

i spoke to mike about the meathead, it came into mention at the time when i mentioned relay design on my prototype model.

i said after watching phase shifts of 3 independent channels and such that the relay design will be an utter bitch on my proto model, especially with my design wanting full MIDI control over the head as well.

i mentioned its design in the after dark forum, but mike told me that there are 42 relays in the meathead.

the designing that went behind that amplifier is insane. the PLC programming that was done and made for it just boggles my mind. that alone is easily 1/3 of the price. i respect the build from an electrial standpoint more than tonal. i dont much care for the tone of the amplifiers, but mike and his electrial abilities are quite insane.

Sure it's an expensive amp, and Its not for everyone as was earlier said, but where I live, if I want a Diezel Herbert or VH4 that's how much I'm spending, and those amps are not for everyone either, so it kind of works out!

This has the tone I want as I've been able to play this amp, thankfully Mike is near me and has been very helpful in getting me to where I want to be in the tone world! I can't do that with Peter Diezel! as much as he is a great guy and always willing to help, I don't live in Germany!!

Anyhow It's a killer amp and I'm happy!

well i was thinking to getta least a fortin amp that would do from clean to acdc rock crunch and modern metal... perhaps as a bedroom player a meatamp would be under utiilized... so am thinking of the fortin bones would run into the territory of the high gain meatamp structure for metal ? have heard of todd duane's clip and damn this amp is really dynamic and tight. would anyone with bones that could eleborate abit for bone's metal high gain handling?
