After many request, I made a play through video for the modded 2203kk. I'm not a big fan of play through videos, and this one is very dry, and boring as hell to me. I have listed a table of contents on the info part of the video, so people can skip around. I promise this video will be the most boring 7-ish minutes of any ones life.

Cheers,

Jo

That sounds bad ass!!   I would love to get one of these and too bad Mike is not modding anymore!!

Damn this head kicks so much ass, just raw aggressiveness
I don't mind playthrough vids at all, lets you hear all the nuances of an amp.

Playthroughs are remarkably helpful when one is looking at new amps, to see the good, bad, and the ugly of it...
many amps are not availble at stores and either you go off others that have them, videos or wing it n buy without try...
so playthroughs often help cut down your options.

tnx great video, what mods are all done to it?

FJA mods marshalls also he can do this type of work.

Thanks for the kudos. Folks.

As far as what mods have been done; a two way frequency shift switch, which shifts the mids from low to high mids, has been added. A depth knob has been added, which produces more or less resonance. Both the power amp section and the pre amp section have been re-voiced. There is an insane amount of gain available on this amp, and no matter how hard you push it, it is still defined. This can do rock music, metal, and even the doom metal stuff. I'm digging it, have had it for a year now, and its the best amp that I've ever owned by far.

That amp isn't going anywhere. Its the only one of its kind. :2thumbsup:

I really like the playthough videos too. I already know that amp sound killer in a mix from your previous clips. Now I know it sound mean as hell all by itself and without double tracking. Very cool amp. Thanks for posting.

Hell yeah Bubba,

Looking forward to more of your clips. The tones you achieve with even guitars that others would sneer at, Holy Shit!!! Thank you for the kind words.

Very cool dude. Mike must have added some gain, because yours has much more gain than mine does in regular 800 mode without the boost engaged. Mine just sounds like a plain old 800 without the beast on. Yours sounds very modern and aggressive without the beast.

I actually use it more on the non boosted side. It has a meatier tone to it this way, and still tight as hell. I've been recording with it in the boost mode, and for live, non boosted mode,

Any amp playthrough video that doesn't contain 10 minutes+ of a clean channel and/or talking at the beginning of it is not boring in my book (that's especially true of when I am watching youtube clips on DirecTV where you can't fast-forward through them). :)

Amp sounds great.

Thanks man, that is useful feedback. I appreciate the input. Great Avatar as well. Had me laughing for a good 5 minutes.
