Hey Jim,yngzaklynch":1820q5ae said:I think it sounds great for the rythm stuff but I really want to hear some lead lines. How much sustain does this have for lead work? The big thing I notice about Mike's work is that even with a huge amount of gain there is clearity. Very tight sounding amp that I'm sure would be great for stuff like Testament, Nevermore, etc...

The thing I'm struggling with is that I can't judge how this amp would work for an 80s hack like myself. I actually enjoy the typical Unchained, lay it down riffs used all to often. It allows me to hear how well a given amp can do the 80's metal thing. As you can tell from my crappy vids I love playing old Ratt, Lynch type stuff and I attempt to shred. But from time to time I like heavy stuff such as Overkill, Testament, Nevermore so an amp that excels at those two tone types would be ideal for me.
