I know ATB probably isn't the style that a lot of you are into, but their album that came out on Tuesday was recorded with the Natas, and its got some great sounding tones. Figured I'd pass that on for the many fans of Fortin around here  Definitely seems to handle those 8 string guitars pretty well.

Oh cool. Pretty cool relevant band to hear the natas in action!

thanks for posting this dude !!!! ..... thats cool they used real tubes this time, i remember ther last cd was done with all axe fx

i didnt even know that they were doing anything new, im gona check this cd out now .... people who dont know this band should check them out, they are pretty much the only other band that plays 8 strings that doesnt try to rip off messuggah .... ther rythm sections are completely crushing

that song just kicked my ass

Love the sound..not a huge fan of the style...but this band is BORING live. I saw them with Despised Icon and Suffokate a while back and I was literally bored. More so because it's mush live...but the venues these bands play don't have the best sound systems.

Fortin's Firebreather in action!

Nice job on this album, Jocke

Yeah, I had no idea something new was coming out, but I saw it under the new release rack, (and I loved Rareform) so I decided to pick it up. I think Rareform was a lot better, but this new one is still pretty good. They sound a bit more like All That Remains on this album, imo. I was definitely kinda surprised to hear sung choruses

yea i just dloaded it, im giving it a full listen than im gona go buy it to support the dudes ... rareform was an insane cd, even forgiving a future self was a good cd besides the shitty singer and that horrendous guitar tone

i dont really like that many american bands but i have alot of hope for these dudes

The entire CD was reamped through the Natas. I don't think any of the ATB guys even saw the amp.

i kinda gave up on the expensive boutique amp thing but i have a feeling i need to play this fortin natas .... from the few vids ive seen of the thing it sounds INSANE ... anyone in NY that has one, please let me try this thing

it would be the only rare expensive boutique amp id consider dropping that kinda cash on honestly .... only cuz it actually seems worth every penny to me, unlike most of the other shit out there

It does seem like a really cool amp. Have you heard the vid that Fearedse guy on youtube did with it? Awesome tones (and I am pretty sure it was the same Natas that was used for this album).

You still rocking the Mark V, Rich?

yea that guy does the best vids on youtube for amp demos, ive seen the other ones of just the room tones of it and its completely beastly, ive honestly never heard anything that sounds like it ... sounds like that natas could eat uberschalls and cobras for breakfast

yea i still have my mark 5, i love the thing it does everything i need it to do, been meaning to do another video of it, i think i may tomorrow its been way too long...

I can't stand this style of music other than the only band that does it right, Meshuggah, and I would never purchase the Natas because of it's price tag, but this it's cool to see that amplifier getting out there already.

Yeah I was surprised when I read it was used on this album. Is there only like 1 of these out there so far? From what I've heard it sounds like its just one amp in circulation for everything its being used on so far

That is correct. Anything you've heard from the Natas has been the prototype. Jocke Skog, the gentleman who has posted several videos of the Natas, also mixed this record, and reamped through the Natas.

I will own a Natas around April. If there is a NY/NJ ampfest, I'm sure either Scott or I will bring ours.

Is there to be any difference between the prototype and the final model?

I dont know man... some of those rythems seemd pretty messugahish to me. Dont say all 8 string player bands out there sound like meshuggah though.... check out my buddys band. His name is Josh Travis and he joined up with Tony Danza and the Tapdance Extravaganza. There shit is definatly not meshuggahish to me.

i actually just gave the whole new cd a listen and i agree it is in a way messuggah-ish ... i posted the comment before hearing ther new cd but listen to ther old stuff, it sounds nothing like that new stuff at all

btw that danza thing was kinda tight, but i dont think i could listen to that for long periods of time without going fukin nuts

Sounds sick. Not my usual type of music, but I kinda dig it.
Sounds almost exactly like Phil Enselmo singing/growling

Awesome tones and awesome dudes. We used to jam in the rehearsal space next to these guys. Some crazy shit came out of that room!

Jocke has done a terrific job with this mix! Also a side note, this is the same Natas that I recorded at Jockes place in early october. NAAAATAAAS! I'm expecting awesome mixing from greg as well when he gets his amp!
