Hi, guys. I'm a newbie rig-talker :)

I'm considering buying an amp. But, i'm torn between natas and uber.

I am a brutal death metal guy. So, incredible gain is necessary.

I heard both amp's gain tones are kick ass.

But I have never played them before.

So, I want some advice from those who played them or has them.

Thanks.

P.S-Sorry for the bad english because my mother tongue is not english :)

Thx for the reply!

I already have 5150 and recto. So, I want to try another stuff. :)

Try some Engl stuff as well if you get the chance. I can't say with any firsthand experience that they're better than the Ubershall or Natas, butI had one of the old Fireballs that I loved for death metal. I have regretted selling it for years, enough so that I'm back to lurking around here and in the process of buying one of the newer 100w ones from a forum member.

Welcome to the forum!
I would put the Uberschall in the same family than the Recto, i think the Natas should have more of a super pissed-off Marshall vibe.
Cheers

Yup!! If you already have a Recto, I would look at the Natas. Mike Fortin knows metal

Gonna be $$$$ though. But you get what you pay for.

I favor the Natas, but I had some killer tones out of my Uber too. However, they pretty much represent opposite ends of the metal amp spectrum in terms of tonality/eq, sound stage, gain structure, compression, response, etc., so it just depends on what you're wanting from the amp. The Uber has much more in common with your 5150 and Recto than the Natas, so from that perspective there would likely be better choices than the Uber if you're looking for something starkly different from your 5150 & Recto.

Thank you guys!!

That fortin modded uber sounds incredible!!

I'm leaning toward natas.

But, the price of natas make me sad

I have te save 2,000 dollars more.

If you have a 5153 and a Recto, maybe go something totally different. I'd say the Uberschall, otherwise go Engl. Savage 120, Invader, SE, Fireball 100, something of the sort.

I love my Uber but I'd probably trade it for a Fortin.

yea i don't know about that. My TJ sounded better than that without any mods.

Stock TJ sounding better (which is a great amp for tight metal) I'd like to think a Fortin mod would do justice. Maybe the settings needed a tweak or the camera mic was not as good or something idk?

Don't discount the Randall Satan. I've read a ton of negative stuff about the Fortin Randalls and 99% of it were folks who never played the amp. I finally bought this month after wanting one for a few years but wasn't sure because of what I heard. Well, I bought the Satan and love it. Once it's dialed in, it is so mean, tight and focused. The clean channel is so awesome too. I would also recommend the Fortin Grind pedal for a boost. It adds the Fortin attack to any amp and sounds so sick. If you like the Grind you will like a Fortin amp. Good luck.

What's a perfect example of the "super pissed-off Marshall vibe"?

I think trying out the Fortin Grind pedal first is good advice. It may well be what ur looking for in your current amps, and you'll save a shit ton too.

Get a Randall Satan.

It was designed by "a brutal death metal guy"... and Mike Fortin.

You will be impressed. I've owned 5 Uberschalls. All revisions from the 1st to the last.

Bogner will be MUCH MORE SAG!
I had an Über, tons of gain but gets tubby easily

To be fair, I think both the Fortin-modded Uber and the stock TJ clips sounded amazeballs.
