WTF.

I have 1 kid in college and another going soon. $$$ are at a premium.

Needless to say my AMGs, Porsches, Z06s, and Vipers have been replaced by Mustangs.

Just like the tone of the Stangs exhaust, these lower priced amps still sound good.

Then again I am a lowly Medical Professional trying to make intelligent conversation with the highbrows on this forum.
Dont take it to hard man. Probably not an Axe slinger here that wouldn't have killed to have that set up at some point along their playing timeline. If your rig sounds good to you and it inspires you to play, it is a good rig. Just beware, if you hang around here long, your opinion about what sounds good is subject to change :D
Welcome to the machine.

Uhm, all forum reviews aside...

Out of the Amp YOU listed you tried I would have gome with the JVM before ending up with the JC... (Nothing wrong with those, but the Marshall Def sounds better)...

I mean Night Train/Tiny Terror/JVM/Buddha

worse than JC22 and a Tweaker?...

Your taste... But having played em all I can see the resistance to agree here... Not snobbery... Rock it! whatever floats ya... I think the Marshall Lead 100 is a great amp,,, flame on right!

I' m with you on the Tweaker40. I have had one for about a month now & I think it' s an outstanding amp! I' m running mine with a G- Major in the loop, a Fulldrive 2 out front through either a Marshall 1960b or Mesa 1x12. I prefer it over everything else in my collection which includes: Diezel Herbert/Einstein, Mesa Triaxis/50-50, Fuchs Blackjack MkII, Axe- Fx Ultra/ II, etc. etc. :D

Another inexpensive amp I love and will eventually own is the Bugera V22. I played a friend of mine' s awhile back & I loved it! Even though I happen to own some expensive stuff, I' m a firm believer in using whatever inspires me gearwise regardless of make, model, or internet hype. ;)

Lots of good points made, I guess I didn't realize this Forum was at a different level than others.

I will say, my Budda SD45 had better tone than any amp I have ever tried in my life, but it just would not work at home levels.

Unfortunately my guitar studio is open to the entire house.

I traded that Budda in to a Sam Ash to buy my Gibson R7 about a year ago, the Budda is still there.
I keep going back and trying it, but it still will not do low volume playing.

I guess what I should have said was the Perfect Rig for my current situation.
99% home playing and the occasional gig or jam.

I do feel confident I could play a small-medium size gig with the Tweaker 40 and get compliments on my tone.

Then again, like one of the other guys said, a good player can make a bad rig sound good, but a bad player can make a great rig sound bad.

Thanks guys, sorry for the outburst, I'd probably be with my last band if it weren't for me going off on a minor comment. :D
It was a shame too, the lead singer/songwriter was great, had real talent, but he started taking advice from the wrong people.

My favorite comment in that one was...

"It's easy to be 100% committed when you are unemployed"

That was on them questioning why I was leaving a practice at 10PM on a weeknight so I could get up early the next morning to meet with the CEO of a major company.

I'm such a d-ck!

For now on I won't post at the end of the month when my main employee is on vacation and I am working 7 days a week.

Oh well, time to change my pad

in case you haven't tried it put a volume pedal in the loop for low volume playing . It works great you can still get some good overdrive and tone . Yes its pre amp gain but thats what you are getting at a low volume anyway .

Don't be offended , most people here are kinda cruel . Also sarcasm doesn't always translate well on the web . Always remember just because some one has alot of great gear doesn't mean he can play worth sh@t .
A quick tip , buy it used try it if you don't like it you can get your money back . New gear is a bad idea when you sell it your gonna lose .
BTW most of the gear I tried was along time ago and these days I'm so broke I can't pay attention .

I couldn't disagree more, I'd say most people here are incredibly kind; I've seen people step up time and again to help with a good cause.

Go to the off topic section and get in on some of the political discussions . I think you might see it a little different

There ya go!....perfect response....you're already getting the hang of this place :D

Lots of very cool (and knowledgeable) folks here; some REALLY good players, as well.

Welcome aboard!

I rock the house with a Jet City JCA22H and JCA24S. I think there's just a little too much prejudice going on here. At Lugo's amp shootout many thought my Jet City JCA100H sounded better than the SLO100. I've had nothing but good experience and great tone with Jet City.

I like it here, some really good info, thanks

Try it through a Celestion G12H30, really nice.
