FOUND ! ! S̶T̶O̶L̶E̶N̶ 2005 PRS Hollowbody 1 with piezo

I posted this a while ago, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to post it again. A guitar was stolen from me in January 2007 when I lived in San Diego, California. It was someone posing as a PRS artist representative. He was going to get me a PRS HB at a discounted rate. He also did some setups, work, repairs, PUP swaps to dozens of my other guitars as well, so I thought he was a reputable guy.

I gave him $2500 for a HB that was supposedly being custom made for me. Right before the custom HB was to be finished, I gave him my 2005 PRS HB1 to do a setup. That was the last I saw the guitar. I even contacted Paul Reed Smith and Winn Krozack at PRS Guitars to get some more information on this guy and was informed that he has never had any affiliation with the PRS Guitar Company.

Police reports have been filed and I even won a small claims case in San Diego. A judgement against the guilty party was granted in my favor, but that is all it is, "a judgement" with no guarantee of getting the guitar or my money back.

There have been a few questions why I waited so long to post this thread----I have kind of come to terms that I may never see the $$$ again but if there is a guy out there that has the guitar, I would be willing to buy it back. It was my first PRS that was like that and I wrote/recorded some songs on it that mean a lot to me and it represent a certain time in my life that was very important to me (i.e. the loss of a family member) etc and I would like to have the guitar back

Anyways, I know it is a long shot trying to find it but it is a:

2005 PRS Hollowbody 1 with piezo, Non 10-top with birds, OHSC, case candy in Grey-Black.
Serial number 5 94657.

If anyone comes across it or has any information, please contact me.

Sorry to hear this. I know the chances of it turning up aren't great, but I hope it does. :no:
 
Man that sucks.
I acutally bought a stolen guitar off Ebay in the past from a Music shop in Texas(they had no idea it was hot)
I only found out when I went to sell it a couple months later the original owner writes me with FLAMING emails about me ripping him off. Well I was in Japan at the time for a couple of years and havent even been back stateside. So I proceeded to write back and forth with the guy explaining this. He calmed down since he got re-imbursed for the guitar when it was stolen. But I can see how he was freaking out. It was a One of a kind Fender HM strat with the Dio Holy Diver album cover painted on it. It was SUPER PRO job and a super clean axe.
But sorry to get off course on this thread. It just brang up some memories and hopefully someone out there might have this and not even know it would be hot.

Beautiful guitar... sorry to hear about it being stolen and the loss of your family member... hope it finds it's way back to you!!!
 
That sucks, I hate a thief :gethim: Hope it comes home to you, or you at least get to see the guy squirm at some point ;)
 
That sucks. Beautiful guitar. I had a couple acoustics ripped off from me a few years back. Tough to track or get back. At least you know for certain who the thief is...that will help alot - sooner or later, he'll turn up. Best of luck!

I have other sources that have confirmed it. Thru his bank account, an online site for his high school. He did something similar to Marcos from POD and he stole some gear from them. It is him, just gotta get him and hope that he either has the gear or the $$$......Let's see what happens
