I am looking for some type of speaker to run my be100 deluxe with. I have the matching 4x12 and I run it through headphones a well. I am looking for something small even one speaker that bridges the difference when I don't want to play through headphones but I need to play at a lower volume level. I don't have a studio desk at the moment so I am not sure studio monitors are the best choice. Open to reccomendations.

A lot of players are happy with the Line 6 Powercab, but I tried the 2x12 version and returned it. I've also bought and returned the ASM-12, although I liked it more than the Powercab. I've found it hard to move away from my 4x12's and even knowing ahead of time that these FRFR's are a compromise and inherently different than traditional cabs, I wasn't sold.

I've also played a number of 1x12's including Thiele cabs and Forte 3d, and my favorite was the Port City OS 1x12, so if your priority is getting something with one speaker that would be my recommendation (y)

I think the power cab is overkill. I am fine with the sound of IR's. I just want a small speaker maybe even one sutdio monitor that can easily hook up to the reactive load.

In that case you could do just that and buy a single monitor. Or for a less traditional route you should check out the Positive Grid Spark. You could run the SRL line out into its Aux input as an FRFR. Then you also get a practice amp and a standalone bluetooth speaker. Just a thought!

The spark would work but may have more features than I need. Would the I logic I loud 40w speaker work?

The marshall blu tooth speakers look cool. I would want to not use blue tooth though.

The headrush frfr 8” or 12” get decent reviews for an inexpensive option to studio monitors

I can't imagine that large of a monitor sounding great at small volumes. Maybe I need to look more into a studio monitor.

I thought the master volumes on these were pretty good, no? You'd probably just as well to by a boost pedal to sculpt your tone at lower volumes?
