I have found one for a really good price, and wanted thoughts the build quality and tone.

The tolex is pretty shitty quality but, everything else is great....definitely a great cab for tone!

Ah yes, the "oven door" Cobra cab.
It has Greenbacks, and if it's $500 and under, you're made in the shade with a glass of lemonade.

Yeah its a great sounding cab. Tolex is thin and the caster aren't great but tone is good.

tolex blows. casters blow. Otherwise built like a tank n sound great. i swapped out my GBs for V30s and wow...really killer!!! :D

I wouldn't say "built like a tank".

My Cobra cab dented when I looked at it. The tolex tore when I talked to it. Even the wood seemed "thin"

Removing the stupid grill was a bitch when speaker swapping. Reattaching the grill was even worse. Internal wiring was weak, thin, and SHORT too.

Not a big fan of the wiring scheme either. stereo 16 + mono 8, I think.

sounded great though. warm and punchy.

I would wait for a REALLY good deal on one.

there are many tanks made worldwide..some made by the Polish arent too strong..since the exterior is made from paper mache'.
