Hi all,

I’m parting with one of my all-time favourite amplifiers — and it’s genuinely one of a kind.
This is a Friedman Twin Sister, but with a twist straight from the man himself: I sent the amp directly to Dave Friedman, who swapped one of the stock channels for his JEL high-gain channel. The result is what I call the “Evil Twin” — an amp that covers far more sonic ground than a stock Twin Sister ever could.

The JEL high-gain channel is best described as a JCM800 on steroids. It adds bright switches for top-end articulation and cut, a saturation switch for pushing the gain character even further, and a distinctly more aggressive, harmonically rich voicing. The beauty of this combination is its range: you can dial both channels to sound remarkably similar for a thick, cohesive clean-to-crunch setup — or push them to completely opposite sonic territories, covering everything from sparkling cleans to searing high-gain tones within the same amp.

If you’ve never played a tube-rectified amp, this will be a revelation. The power section has that unmistakable “give” under the fingers — a slightly elastic, compressed response that makes every note feel alive and dynamic. It’s the kind of amp you plug into and don’t want to stop playing.

The amp is in absolutely mint condition — zero scratches, dings, or tolex wear of any kind. Smoke-free home studio use only, never gigged, never abused. Original box and footswitch included.

My playing style and musical taste have shifted significantly over the years and I’ve been gravitating toward higher-gain rigs, which means this amp simply doesn’t get the playing time it deserves. It should be in the hands of someone who will truly use it.

At 3.300€ (in EU), this is priced below the current retail price of a stock Twin Sister — and this is far from a stock amp. You’re getting a custom, hand-modified build by Dave Friedman. Ships within the EU in its original Friedman box. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Put up a clip of that JEL HG channel through those 6L6's!! Lets go!!
this is an incredible combo of channels.
The JEL channel with TS power section is punchier and more open than the JEL50 I tried. It takes boosts, fuzzes exceptionally well. If you do not want to use any pedals and still riff out of it, the SAT on and B switch down it turns into a completely different beast. Chunky, a bit drier and sticky feel which I love for high gain riffage, without any boost in front. Yeah and with the footswitch you can go to the Shirley section directly. The Shirley channel in the TS alone, is I think one of best designs of Dave.
