As I can see from your video, you play a Diezel. How do you think the BE compares in vesatility compared to the Diezel?

Sorry, I can't help you...my Marsha is my go-to amp for just about everything these days. It's hands down the coolest, best sounding, best feeling Marshall style amp I've ever come across. They way you can dial it in to have a hot-rodded vintage-like tone while retaining a completely tight, articulate bottom end is like nothing else out there IMO. That didn't help, did it? :D

Didn't you say a while back that you didn't care for the Friedman tone (in a Diezel thread IIRC)? Nice to see you come around on that

Played one today at tonemerchants (belongs to Mark Day).
Jesus. I'm actually thinking of selling anything I can to get one now.
It's like crack.

After that you'll need the SS ;)

Never played a production unit, only the mods. How much better are they then the mods? Same exact voicing ?

Depends on the donor amp.

The BE-100 is one bad ass amp!! I played through one 3X in the past year including one at TM and it rocks!!!

Right..
Well, I owned a couple of VH4's.. I liked their tone but hated their feel. I now have a Gower KK++ 79JMP.. It's more versatile than the VH4 IMO, except for the fact it doesnt have a real clean channel. the VH4 ALWAYS just stayed... VH4, whatever you did. Ofcourse it is the purpose of the amp I guess. Different beasts.. and i'd say, if I played "jump up and down" modern metal, the Diezel would be my pick.. but I don't. The Diezel just cant do those classic metal/hardrock tones with the correct feel and liquid, glassy imperfection.

Anyway.. I just wanted to know if you can go from vintage overdrive to a more modern heavy tone on the BE100 like with Dan's/fortins excellent mod.

Cheers

Flipped my Herbert for a Marsha two years ago, never looked back. The Deizel tone is not for me, the Marsha is bad ass.

You can but I'd consider the Cali more of a "metal" amp than the BE.

I bought my BE-100 last year at the LA amp show, coming up 1 yr of ownership. This is the best amp I've ever owned, With all the options you can get about any tone you want. The amp has a great feel, nice punchy bottom, and the girth/fullness to the amp is amazing. Reza you just need to get one man! You stopping out at the LA amp show this year? We can play it some more then! I normally play this amp on the BE channel with and without Sat (diode clipping) with low output Sheptone or 2nd degree BB but the other day I plugged in my Tremonti I hardtail into the HBE with no Sat and what a great brutal tone, tight and chunky.

oh man, try some gold lion kt77 first. it changes your deizel to a smoother freq. curve, a little less fizzy. your diezel can do those tones with ease. see quick clip with iphone to give u an idea.

lp freak, i bet i will mess it up again, lol

thanks brother !

IMO, you will not need both the BE and SS100. You will find either one or the other the weapon of preference.
