Friedman BE100 with 25 watt greenbacks?

I am about to pull the trigger and get a BE100. I currently have a Marshall 1960ax cab with 25 watt greenbacks. I understand that the general rule of thumb is the cab should be rated at twice the wattage of the amp. Should I be concerned about blowing my speakers if I use this cab with the BE100, especially since the new model no longer has the half power switch? Any help is appreciated.

You will not blow the speakers at all. And that cab sounds GREAT with the Brown Eye!

I've got a slanted Marshall cabinet with G12M Greenback (Reissues) on top and V30's on the bottom. It's a "100" watt cabinet, and sounds great.

It's one of Dave's specs aside from 65 watt Scumback option.

Same here except mine is a 12H30/V30 combo.

You'll never play loud enough consistently to blow those speakers up.

If you're afraid, cut down to 50W. The volume loss isn't perceivable.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm new to this board and have been really impressed with the willingness of all members to share info and ideas.

I played a BE100 through a V30 cab. While it sounded good, I kept thinking "wow, Greenbacks (RI or Heritage) or Scumbacks would sound INCREDIBLE."

Obviously you need some volume to thump the GB's as opposed to an H-magnet speaker.
