Surprised as I've been jonesing for a Naked, but definitely like the BE more here.

They both are great sounding. I'd have a hard time taking one over the other, since they are distinctly different.

BE by a landslide.

It has better cut and more 'presence'.

The Naked is cool too but it behaves like a MV amp and it needs to be opened up.

  I'm just saying, getting the treble around 3 o'clock with the presence where it's at and there's plenty of high end heat.

Like most everyone else, the Brown Eye sounded more open and alive. The Naked sounded just a tad quieter in addition to darker to less 'present'. I think if the Naked was turned up just a bit more it would have gotten more votes. Interesting that the gain was almost maxed on the Naked. I've never played either so I'll just shut up now.

The tone on Friedman amps changes depending on where the gain is set too so keep that in mind.

I liked the rawness and push the naked had. The BE sounded too scooped. Preferred the Naked on this one.

Suprised at how much better the Naked sounds??

BE sounds thin and weak compared

MK is used the amp flavor of the month @ GAB.

They do things a little different it seems ... :D

All I hear is bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz........Like I'm near a hornets nest..sorry.

Need moar A/B'ing with these two amps. I personally dug the push the Naked had over the BE. The BE sounded pretty typical, good, but typical. The power, grunt and clarity of the Naked was pretty prevalent and I'd love to hear more back to backs.

I don't know what to take away from this video because you have other vids with both of these amps sounding way better.

Both amps are killer, just not necessarily in this example.

Keep posting clips bro.....you amp whore

these are nice!!! They both have that same roar too, pretty cool.

Im wondering if you could match the 2 with tweaking.

meaning are these the same amps with different eqing techniques?

Sounds like if you took the BE prescense up some it may sound identical

Your custom axes are nice no doubt but not something the average player has.

Do a clip with a LP & Strat with each amp about 4 on the Master and report back.

And make it 3 to 5 minutes instead of 30 second bytes.

I didn't like the Naked audio at all. But don't think its fair because it is a great amp!

A couple of things, there is clearly more mid content on the Naked yet you had the mids turned up on that amp, and turned down a bit on the BE which to me sounds scooped a bit. If its the same cab and mic set em the same and make sure the volume is the same. I own a BE but the Naked sounds better to me on this clip (needs a little presence turned up) and my BE doesn't sound like the BE in these clips, I get a sound more like in between the 2 amps. This is thru a Bogner V30 straight cab too. I am surprised what people on here are saying they are hearing as far as EQ, scooped not scooped etc. Not sure what everyone listens to this on but interesting viewpoints on the EQ of these clips that are opposite of what I am hearing.

I could be wrong, but I'd be willing to bet that the preferences for the Naked or the BE are based mostly on the style of music that each person chiming in would typically play. At least it is for me... For the kind of stuff my band does, the BE would be far superior to the Naked based on that clip.

Just my opinion, your mileage may vary, your opinion is probably different, etc., etc., etc. ;)
