Well, here is a good chunk of your life you ain't ever getting' back! LOL! Let me start by saying, there are quite a few "all out rager" vids of this amp, and some showing all the knobs being turned to hear the range of them. This ain't that kind of party. Kept all 3 channels fairly neutral but DID do some actual Clean stuff on Channel 1 and did all 3 channels with single coils and humbuckers.

I used my G&L ASAT and PRS SC245 on this. First demo using the Torpedo Studio as well and I know, I KNOW... but my living situation has changed so silence is golden AND I think it sounds pretty killer irregardless... (yes, I know that's not a word!).

IR's used are:
• SinMix - Recto 140W AT4040 5
• OwnHammer - OH412 MAR ALN-BLU SS CND-70

I saw Steve Stevens was using this OwnHammer and a different SinMix IR that I am sure I have but couldn't find. I think it's a great mix of cabs for sure. Anyway, it took me way longer to get this done than I had planned but there are also full mix clips coming as well. Got the audio recorded just need the corresponding vid for them.

Thanks again to Steinmetzify for getting this whole Friedman thing started and YUGE thanks to Rob @Tone Merchants for being cool as hell! Hope y'all don't hate it TOO hard! LOL!

Here are some time markers for your viewing ease:
• :00 - 2:00 - Intro
• 2:01 - 5:56 - Ch1 - Clean - Single Coil
• 5:57 - 10:55 - Ch1 - Crunch/Mid Gain - Single Coils
• 10:56 - 13:25 - Ch2/3 - Mid/Hi Gin - Single Coils
• 13:26 - 16:05 - Ch1 - Clean - Humbucker
• 16:08 - 17:25 - Ch1 - Crunch/Mid Gain - Humbucker
• 17:28 - 23:00 - Ch2/3 - Mid/Hi Gin - Humbucker
• 23:05 - 24:02 - Closing

Saving to watch later, thanks for a comprehensive play through

Those IRs sound nice. Sorry if I missed it in the video, but what were you using as a load?

EDIT: Never mind, I see you mentioned Torpedo in the OP.

Thanks man! I used the Two Notes Torpedo Studio. The OwnHammer impulse is from the Studio bundle and the SinMix one is from his newest update.

Anyone into IR's should check SinMix out as he always does free updates with new mics and cabs. Tell him JerEvil sent you. He's a bud.

I was worried about IR's at first but after watching my buddies in "2Guys 1 Amp" I got over it. The Two Notes Studio is an amazing piece of gear.

Thanks for checking out the vid!

Nice video, many thanks!

While listening I got the feeling that it would sound even better with higher gain pickups. Especially with the "Fight 'em til you can't" riff it sounded as if the amp could offer more saturation but that the pickups were kind of keeping the sound cleaner than it should be, if that makes sense. Do you have anything high output available to demo the amp with?

I am asking because my PRS with 57/08s sounded better (for high gain applications) through all my amps after I put in higher output pickups.

Many thanks again and I'm looking forward to your "in the mix" clips.

Yeah man I have my Mammoth Les Paul Custom with a JB in the bridge. I can put together a heavier vid tonight or tomorrow probably.

I wanted this guy to be more low to mid gain rock tones. Everyone knows it'll do the brutal stuff. I also have my Gibson V set up to C standard that I can use. It'll be a shorter vid.

That sounds really good.
Hey thanks!

I am going to try and knock out the HIGH GAIN MASSIVE BRÜTZ tonight but I need to get this guy back to Rob!

Love it, great job, digging the tunes.
I may be picking your brain soon on the torpedo stuff. Seems like you got it up and runnin quick.
Is the torpedo that nice and quiet? Is there filters you have to do for that.? When my volume is that high, it's ready to blow the doors down, and there's just a little noise floor like any high gain amp

Dude it is SUPER quiet! No noise at all, no filters, etc. It is really plug-endplay but you GOTTA mess with IR's. Just like with any amp, some things will just sound better than others. Just have to make sure you are watching your input/output monitoring.

I know Reza really likes the standard Two-Notes cabs because of the mic placement ability. I am liking many of them but also finding the aftermarket stuff to be a lot of fun.

I'll PM you my contact info if you wanna chat more about it.

Wow. what an amazing sound! great job!
Hey thanks for checking it out! I am definitely going to try and knock out a more "metal" version tonight and maybe hit the front end with some fuzz and OD.

Glad folks seem to dig the vid as I certainly wanted to do the amp some justice! Full mix clips coming later tis week. Been sick so could not get all the vocals done.

bad ass sound and nice playing! I've been jonesing for a JJ but this may trump that.

Hi I listened to it again, on my home speakers it sounded awesome!

I'll make sure to not comment anymorejust based on what I hear through my headphones... ;)

It was great to hear the PRS SC245 through your Butterslax in the full rundown video. That guitar really has great tone through this amp. And nice penguin pants, too!

Yeah the JJ is high on my interest list as well. I tell you man, I don't think you can go wrong either way, but with the Slax I can say all 3 channels are super damn versatile!

Nothing to critique haha. With all the nice stores in my area extinct, I'm damn glad for folks such as yourself providing us with these demos.

Cool demo dude. I am really surprised at the quality with the Two Notes. I never got into it with the IRs. How do you eliminate the noise of the amp? Or is the amp that quiet.

Thanks bud! The amp is actually pretty quiet and wasn't producing much white noise on the tracks at all. The volume on each channel was loud enough to cause "a disturbance in the force" but with the Two Notes, all you could hear in the room was the audio coming from my studio monitors which was set super low. On Channel 3 it got a little noisy with the ASAT so I did mute those bits. I have to say, I too am surprised at how well the Two Notes does. It sounds better for me personally than using the power Station and then running IR's separately.

Also what do you prefer more. Playing it with a cab or with the Two Notes. Is there a difference to you or is the feel pretty much the same. I honestly couldn't jive with the Two Notes Live but I must have been doing something wrong.
