Just wondering if anybody here is using them, and your opinions on them. Have a Be100 playing it through an oversize mesa recto cab with 2 greenbacks and 2v30's, sounds good, but just wondering if it would be worth getting a matching cab. Are the build quality and sound on theses cabs stellar or am I better off going with a small builder like Stoneage.

I had an oversize recto cab years ago, and any Marshall style amp just sounded OK with it. Really designed for the recto and similar amps. I think you'd be way better off with a vintage style cab like a Friedman, Splawn, Stone age, Bogner, Marshall, Mesa traditional/Stiletto, Rivera, EVH....basically stay away from an oversize cab. Avatar, Mojotone, and I'm probably forgetting others..

I've also heard that Stone Age cabs are awesome, and on par with anything out there for a vintage style cab.

I own a Friedman cab and there are killer. My option on the Friedman cab is it's a very well balanced sound it does not have a ton of low mids like a lot of more modern cabs I have played. The sound of this cab hits you in the chest which I love and records well.

I'm playing my BE100 through a Splawn cab loaded with creambacks. Sounds awesome! Would really like to get the matching Friedman cab thou.

Cool thanks for the input guys, I'm torn between stoneage and friedman right now

Go the Friedman - its the cab they were made for! Seriously, they are amazingly well made cabs that project the sound through the mix really well. You wont be disappointed

Agree they are very well balanced sound that's tight, projects and cuts in the mix better than all the other cabs I've tried with my BE100.

I'm running an old JCM800 cabinet with G12-65's in it and it sounds spectacular with my BE100

I've been dying to check out a Friedman cab however. Normally, IMO, V30's and Marshall'esque amps don't sit well in my ears (Too much high mid for my liking), but the combo with Greenbacks and a different cab altogether intrigues me and i love the tone on all demo's i have watched.

Hands down for the Friedman Cab...

I got mine with Greenbacks 2 years ago and played it with a VH4, Soldano SL 60 and right now with a Bad Cat.

What should I say - used to play V 30 and G12K100 for a long time I always thought Greenbacks would be great for Classic Rock and Blues, but in fact this Greenback loaded cab is much more versatile than expected.

With the right settings (as always...) it always keeps present even in a real heavy surrounding.
