Friedman DI Box

I've seen a Friedman cabinet emulated DI box mentioned in a few videos from NAMM, is there any more information on this like an approximate release date and price? Also is it a similar circuit that is in the Runt for it's XLR output?

I've never had good luck with DI boxes or DI outs. Always ends-up sounding more solid state than the amp/cab being mic'd does to my ears. But hey... if Dave's making one, then maybe there'll finally be one that I don't hate the sound of.

I'm interested in this as well, I've always liked the Palmer PDI-09 plus it is a passive device... hopefully the friedman is passive.

I've been using an older Redbox MkII and a newer Mk5 with a DS and SB - all combo's sound pretty good. I'll also sometimes use it from a b output on an effect in the amp loop - to get a stereo sound direct to PA. Miss out on a bit of mojo from the poweramp section - but still sounds pretty good in a stereo context.
