I need a Dirty Shirley vs. Atomica shootout....

Two completely different animals. Great sounding amp btw Dave!!

Yeah, that wouldn't make much sense.

Really? I hear the same kind of mid to lower gain tones going on, Cameron Atomica uses EL34's right? This one is 5881's. Would very much like to compare them side by side.

Guys,
Thanks for the kind words..
I have not heard the Cameron so I can't comment but the Dirty Shirley really does have everything you want in a straight up Rock amp.

You know sometimes there are amps you plug into and you say "that's pretty good.. now what effects am I gonna use to make this really work".. Then there are amps that you plug into and just want to play.
The Friedman is that sort of amp.

Yeah, this amp is way more raw rock n roll than the Atomica. Killer demo by the way! I love Friedman's work. I think a good shootout would be Dirty Shirley vs Bogner Goldfinger. Now those are in the same ballpark.

How do you compare it the Reeves stuff like the Jimmy?. I think my fav tone I heard in one of your vids was the Metro '67 Super bass. Great stuff, and like others said, putting it in band context is killer.

This sounds great and makes me want to order one. I hear a lot of bass much like a Jtm 45 I suppose, can the amp be dialed in to sound different or crisper or is that basically the voice of it??

You can always turn the bass down if you want more crispiness.

Sure you can...

It really is hard to get a bad sound out of the amp.

Brand new white Dirty Shirley head and matching white cabinet inbound to the shop now fyi...

Great video, Lance never disappoints, amp sounds great, I would have a hard time deciding between a DS and a 3 Monkeys though based solely on clips, they both seem to posess a certain dirty-jangle that sounds so vintage, that I need (want  ).

That sounded fantastic but in all fairness, Lance could plug into a flip flop and make it sound great...

great tones. love that classic marshall seems to be making a comeback in general.

in the end, does it need to get any heavier gain-wise,
or should "heavy" mean how intense you play it?

Man I have had JTM 45 fever for a long time. That amp looks like the real deal.

Great freakin demo.
