Friedman JJ Inbound

not sure the Helios cab with V30/GB25 could be too far off from the Friedman cab with the same setup. Dims are pretty similar if not the same. If anything the batting will tame high end and increase lows. I am open to having to use the Friedman cab, but hoping my run of the mill Bogner cab will get me by.

By all means, I would try all your cabs and see what you think. The JJ will never sounds bad, to me it just got more mojo through the friedman cab. And only 86 pounds is kinda nice.

I think Rick's (Wizard) 412 are only around 85 lbs...I hear his cabs are killer too. Bogner cabs are 92 lbs
maybe the ply thickness on the Bogner is thicker? Maybe the Wizard and Friedman "breathe" a little more

I will say the 412 cab I played when I got to try the JJ sounded great!

Yea for some reason my splawn cab with v30s was a little boomy with my JJ. I mean it still sounded awesome just was missing the mid grind and snarl. At the same time my Nitro w kt88s did not sound good at all through my Friedman cab, but sounds amazing through both splawn cabs I have (v30s and one with creamback). You're gonna love the JJ man, mine will go to the grave with me.

I like it a lot
It's no Wizard, but it has a cool chew to it - guess since Jerry played Bogner for so long, it has that chewy mid - but it's a cool amp. My favorite Friedman so far (had the SS100, original run BE, played a new BE100, played a DS) the JJ is up my alley.

Likely the only "signature" amp I'll be acquiring once back to civilization. I am still very intrigued by the Helios 100, but the JJ sounds really good - and I've not been a fanboi of Friedman for whatever reason, ever. I just really dig what I'm hearing out of the JJ.
