Last I heard, 960+ on the list. August is the hopeful release date, but they are having trouble sourcing a few parts that normally come from China.

Hey now just because the economy is collapsing and retirement accounts are in the shitter and China and Europe are using this opportunity to carve out their own trade deals without the USA’s involvement, weakening our future status as a global superpower and our imports are crippled for literally zero benefit and costs are skyrocketing, and this sudden downturn happened solely because of Trump’s individual actions manufacturing a trade war that isn’t working because he has no idea what he’s doing, and that his people have no idea what they’re doing,.. that doesn’t mean Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing, ok?

I understood they were always intended to be released in small batches, each one hand made by Dave. We’ll see how long he can keep that up, but I’m definitely keen to try one, and I would think they’ll hold their value on the used market if it doesn’t work out.

I think Dave said they are made at BAD, but that each one will come through his custom shop for finishing touches and checks. I'm absolutely sure that if you wanted to sell it, you could find a buyer and it would hold most of its value. Demand is pretty high for this model.
After reading @technomancer's comment, I'm not sure if Dave said June or August. I just know the first batch is coming sometime this summer (if all goes to plan).

Great sounding amp but, yea the build quality is that of a PC. I had one and the clean channel only worked for a few seconds if you banged on it.

I had no problem w/ the build quality.
My gripe is the amp is excessively bright. Also excessively bassy. I found the brightness impossible to dial out, using a Strat.
He addressed this with the 50 watt JEL, it has a 3-way bright switch for each channel.
