I do dial then in very similar, but in the room it's head and shoulder above any Friedman and way more clarity than the Slo or a Wizard.
A Wizard has a lot more gain but not the note clarity.
This is a special amp! So many useable tones too

Wizards are killer amps, no doubt. I own a MCII and MTL. I had a Friedman Jose for 3 days.
It was a cool, plenty of harmonic content and clarity, but I felt it lacked in the gain department.
My issue was I was looking for something more modern, so I ended up with a Ground Zero Hellion v2.
BTW in the string clarity department, my personal opinion is the Ground Zero Hellion v2 reigns supreme.
I'd consider grabbing a used Jose when prices drop. I think it's worth owning but not for close to $4k.
At that price range, I'd rather grab a used MCII or MTL. Wizards are phenomenal and well built.

Thanks for sharing and congrats on the new Jose. Definitely a cool amp, right alongside that Anderson Bobcat.
That's one axe I wish I wouldn't have sold. There's just something about how Andersons play so effortlessly.
They lack fight/character because they are all so well built. The QC is insane and the fit and finish is off the charts.
