You can switch the clean on and off but you have to change inputs for BE and HBE.

Just started reading about the Marsha and have one question about the channel switching: Could I put cables in both inputs and use something like an a/b box (or in my case I want a GigRig Midi-14) and then its like an ampswitcher? because for a live situation thats not really useful, is it?

And also, does the Marsha have Midi or the option for Midi?

A/B box won't work. When you plug into one input the other is defeated.

Dammit! So the switches are not really for live use? Its more you settle for one position and leave it?

Ah yes, no switches, inputs. Well than my next question is, with just one gain channel, how wide is the range of the gain control via the guitar's volume knob? I want to go from nice overdrive (almost clean, just some dirty) to higain, lets say Metallica/Alter Bridge (I guess you remember my other thread ;-)). How well can I do that with just one channel and lets say a clean boost (Tubescreamer)?

These amps clean up great with the guitar's volume and take pedals really well.

So I can set the channel on either BE or HBE to a real higain monster (maybe even with Sat switch, read that its the key to Metal tones) and just go to some mild crunch by tweaking the voume knob?? awesome :) Then I could use the clean boost for something like a 3rd channel!

Whats about Midi? Or controlling the Clean and OD channel by something like the Gigrig (hope you know what Im talkbing about)?

`i dont think you can get modern metal tones, you could out of the Friedman Naked...

I guess I dont need real modern metal tones... more like Metallica. And I adore Mark Tremobtis Rhythm sound!!

Does anyone have a Marsha with the 2nd gain and MV knobs AND a footswitchable Sat switch?

What's with the leaning transformer - hope the amp wasn't dropped en-route?
We shipped everything like that and if the amp got dropped that was what happened to the transformer. We havent had ANY issues with it causing problems other than that your transformer looks wonky.

We now ship both transformers with reinforced brackets like on old Marshalls, so in current production this is not an issue.
