Friedman Runt 50 with Lynch Mod

It's taken some time to get the Lynch Mod dialed in with the Runt 50. Definitely a balancing act between the gain knobs to keep it from collapsing in on itself. I think I'm getting some decent rock tones though. The amp still responds well to changes in the guitars volume knob.

I'm playing my Charvel loaded with a JB. Into an IR of my Friedman 212 loaded with V30s.

I've never been able to tell if the Runt really is low gain like people say, as there's conflicting reports. Sounds great in your video.

If you can get the master around 10:00, it brings in the power section, and you can get some late 70s early 80s levels of gain from it. Think Marshall JMP. That, however, is loud AF. lol! IMHO, none of the Friedman amps are scorching with gain. Not in a modern high gain sort of way. The Lynch Mod allows me to get the gain at a good level for rhythm playing and I would hit it with a boost for leads.

Yeah that sounds great and cleans up better than I expected. You could spend a shit ton more money on a rig and fall short of these tones easily. Nice work 👍

Just a shade more than an 800. Easy to push it with a pedal. The Hot Mod does more than add gain with the Runt. It adds punch, and much more harmonics, which I think it lacks without it.
