I don't see the custom shop electric fan either. Got to have the hair flow.

It's ok, they're not his signature stools,.... :D

No, his signature stools come wrapped in gold bathroom tissue embossed with his logo and infused with his flatulence.

Ive hung with Dave a few times and he's a great guy. I got to shoot a pretty detailed rig rundown with him for Maxon where he shows his rig. He likes to change it up between the Friedman and PRS rig on the fly. He really loves that Friedman for sure, though. Ive never seen him rock an Orange cabinet though.

Hm, that rig look a little spinal tap to me. Vernon Reid syndrome?

Huh? Clean amp, dirty amp, a few rack effects. What's crazy about that?

Let me first say that I love Vai, "Passion and warfare" is a classic!

To me it just look a bit amateurish and cluttered thats all. Why put rack effects on display like a shrine on two bar stools like that, like he is going to adjust his axe fx during the concert?

On another note, isn't it a little strange that he hold on to his old signature amps like that? If I were considering one I would reflect on the fact that the new model isn't replacing the former.

I heard/played a Pink Taco over the weekend. My drummer's other band Schizophonic tore it up and the Taco sounded PHENOMENAL!!! Seriously, just killed! I can't believe how huge, crunchy and tight that little thing sounded.

I think Vai's orgasm face while he plays should go before those stools do..

P&W is great.

He actually does adjust his rig on the fly, he did that during the show, not the Axe Fx, but he did tweak the amps, including the rack mounts. He controls his own tone and monitor mixes.

As far as the old vs the new, not sure why, maybe something has changed in the designs, maybe his older Legacys have been tweaked over time?
