Friedman smallbox

I spoke with Friedman and the deal is that they sent the only Friedman Smallbox their is (the one from NAMM) to guitar center so they could display it at the Dallas show. They were told NOT TO sell it. What did they do, they sold it. Rob says 2 or 3 weeks before the small boxes start shipping.

The Smallbox from the Dallas Show is currently at GC North Dallas.

It's for sale and I played it yesterday.

So, if this really was to be sent back, somebody should act quickly.

I notified the GC rep after I was contacted and told that they weren't supposed to sell it, and then took it back the next day.
I thought it might make it's way back home, but it looks like they're keeping it to sell it.

I am really thinking about getting a smallbox 50. Is there any chance it has external bias points? I guess I can always buy a Compu-Bias if I order one. The autobias feature on my YJM100 has kind of spoiled me when it comes to easily playing around with different power tubes.

Ubermetaldood, I guess I do not have enough posts on here to be able to reply to your PM. That will most likely change if I buy a Friedman amp. I have a bunch of posts on the Marshall Amp Forum. You can check out their YJM100 "Ultimate Plexi" thread. I will have to think about your offer.

That's funny. As with all estimates from Friedman, Weeks = months, months = years.

They have been shipping for 2 weeks. Takes awhile when you have like 350 amps back ordered and we are producing around 80 to 100 amps a month. Can't just stop all the orders to produce these new ones. Next up Cantrell then the Phil x. We showed 3 amps at namm , getting all of that into production when you already have a huge backlog is hard. Maybe I will just stop telling anyone a time.

I pulled the trigger on the signed SS100 from king guitar, when I heard the small box would be a few more weeks(no biggie). The small box will be along shortly. thinking of the JJ now too

Does the Small Box 50 have as much gain as a BE100 with the HBE boost option on?
