It is not about price.
It is about having to pay to promote someone else's brand.
The world works like this: If you do advertising about a product, it tends to sell more. If the product sell more, increase the demand and the price of it tends to increase as well. Then later, if you want to buy another product of the brand, you will have to pay more for it, because you helped his price to increase. And paid to do it.
Anyway, the question you made should be: You pay $2-4K for a product and you can't receive a $20 T-shirt?
I think all you have to do is just ask them if your ordering an amp direct or wanting just a shirt from Friedman, or from your dealer. I haven't heard one "they wouldn't give me a T-shirt" post that I know of. Anyway this is something that need to be discussed personally with your dealer or Friedman I believe.
As far as design, I think the gold logo would look a little cooler than the white on black, but Im not complaining.
