They are--and have perpetually been--understaffed relative to demand pretty much since at least the PS-1 came out. If you backed their Kickstarter for the GP/DI, that was also full of drama.

I'll say what I've said before: Fryette offers great products. Their support varies between great and completely nonexistent and it's a crapshoot as to which experience you might get. I've also learned to never trust Fryette when they give some type of a timeline on anything.
I agree: they make great stuff. I will add that I've reached out to their support via email twice for questions about their products in the past and I got a well-detailed response either the same day or the day after. They're A+ in my book.

They have had spans before this where they were back ordered. I'm surprised some Chinese company hasn't started making a cheaper clone or even a SS version. If Ceriatone wasn't so popular and backed up himself he probably would have.
True, there doesn't seem to be many competitive products around this idea.

Then again it's an easy thing to piece together if you want a simple alternative - a decent load box and solid state amp can sound really good.

I attempted to discuss this over at you-know-where, but of course some dude got triggered so I bailed on the thread: https://www.thegearpage.net/board/i...th-power-station-vs-load-box-and-amp.2440555/

Yep, I had a Powerstation and sold it. I'm using a Rivera Mini RocRec for reactive load, Suhr Iso Line Out into rack delay into Duncan Powerstage 250 into 4x12s. I like the tone/presence controls on Powerstage 250 and I don't want/need anymore tubey goodness at that point.

Ok yeah nice rig - I bet it sounds great.

I know 'solid state' is a dirty phrase amongst many players but on paper, and in practice, it's always made sense to me for a slave amp. The Power Station is a cool product if you need another loud tube power amp in the chain. If you're looking for a low volume solution for an already loud amp, there's certainly other ways to achieve that.
