These are cool and work as advertised. The 'direct' feel is even stronger than just being direct mounted from the factory via normal fixed screws that simply thread through the pickup ear height adjustment slots. Be advised that if your pickup cavity is on the shallow side and/or you have a sunken Floyd bridge setup, even the minimal pickup height could end up resting on the highish side. Also, after I installed these myself I noticed my guitar became slightly microphonic when running a lot of gain, whereas before it wasn't at all. Nothing I can't manage but I took that as a sign they worked lol
