someone calls you up and tells you you've just been wired 25,000 dollars into your account to spend on gear in ONE day..... what would you get?

btw there was a show here in my country that this happened, the amount was $26,500 and it was for mother's day so basically all you could buy in ONE day, but you HAD TO spend it all. Some woman won, and got a ton of shit.

man I'd get:

Gibson ES335
James Trussart Tele
Two Rock amp
Fender Custom Shop Strat
I'd select $2,000 of those and spend it all on pedals
Neumann U87
thinking thinking (will add more later)

This should be easy :)

I'll presume 25000$ or € may be interchangeable

Marshall JVM 1200€
Mako Mak4 + shipping/import: 1000€
Diezel Herbert mkII: 3000€
Diezel Schmidt: 2300€
Roland JC120H: 1000€
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe: 800€
Shamray Custom guitar x2: 7000€
Fender Standard Strat: 1100€
Fender Standard Tele: 1000€
A couple of ESP guitars for the remaining 5000€ :)

Diezel Herbert
Diezel Hagen
Matching cabs
Gibson CS one pup R7(BKP Painkiller)
Gibson R7
AxeFx 2
Mesa Poweramp
Guiterrez Stealth(custom build)
Washburn Stealth
Rottingcorpse's one off quilt top Washburn Cross

I think I went a little over.

Mics / mic preamps for my drumkit.
A new bass.
My Warmoth strat, and a 7 string axe.
Royer R 121.
Orange 2x12
Used Steinway upright (and a pair of mics for it), or a used grand if I could swing it.

If anything was left, it'd go to various hand percussion instruments

Well, I could name a whole lot of stuff, but after seeing those new Ampfest vids, I can tell you that a Naylor combo of some kind would definitely make the list!

And a few G&Ls, 70s LP Custom or Deluxe, a Fortin-Marshall I've been dreaming up (but could never afford) and...

I would think that would be pretty easy to do with so many expensive products out there.

I'd go for:

1. Fortin Natas
2. Gibson LP R7
3. Gibson LP R9
4. Chavel Socal
5. Diezel Herbert
6. PRS SC58
7. Diezel Hagen
8. Titan Custom
9. Peavey 6534+

Hell I could blow through half of that on 2-3 of the vintage Gibsons that one of the local shops has. The rest would be gravy... new high-end drumset for the studio, another rev F dual recto and old 4x12.

Then a custom-order neckthru Explorer (probably ESP or Ken Lawrence) with a medium-dark rubbed stain/oil finish, ebony fretboard with no inlays, and Michael Moorcock's 8-arrow Chaos symbol burned/branded into the wood on the big upper section above/behind the bridge. That's been my dream guitar since I was a kid, and I'd still love to have it.

Hmmmm,

Diezel VH4
Fortin Meathead
Some cabs
Jackson fiddle
Tom Anderson fiddle

I think that leaves some $ left over actually...

1) 1957 Gibson Les Paul Jr.
2) Ken Lawrence Explorer
3) Diezel VH4
4) Tom Anderson Tele
5) Dr. Z Z Wreck with matching 2x12
6) If anything is left-hookers and blow
*considering used prices for everything but the explorer*

I'm gonna say there is much more than $25k into that.

Happy with my guitar gear, so maybe some recording gear. If not groupies.

I actually touch a 55 Strat yesterday that happened to cost $25,000. Then I played an LsL Verhayen sig model that I liked better. Go figure.
