This is where many Ibanez are made

I looked up the serial # on the one i got. Its legit MIJ. My buddy didn't like the neck girth on it.
Ive known him 31 yrs i thought for the price he gave me it was a knock off but nope. Fujigen MIJ.

That's pretty crazy, but they do fake serial numbers. I have seen 3 Chibsons with the same serial number.
Oh i know the blemish list on fakes is a mile long. But i haven't been able to find any blemishes runs, drips or errors whatso ever.
Now i know why. The white enamel on this guitar is as hard & thick as epoxy.

I've been trying to find a cheap 80s MIJ strat from them for years now. Everyone seems in on the secret now and wants MIA prices for them.

@shar-vell Dan can we have a close up on the bridge? On my phone, the bridge doesn't look as an Ibanez Edge that you would find in a Pia. But it could be just the angle of view.

Oh im not for a minute under the delusion this is a $3500 Pia.
I do believe the guitar is a Fujigen made going by the serial # as i can find no other pics or models of this guitar.
No edge trem but its well made like an Indo Floyd 1000 type.
I set the intonnation and its spot on to the millimeter.
This guitars adjustments are a breeze, very responsive to slightest adjustments.
Being honest IDK who is making these guitars but ive had a couple Chinese guitars with things like dirt specs in the finish coat.
This guitars construction & QC screams Japan to me as im very familiar with those for 50 years.

This guitar & Mine have the same serial number LOL. Looks like i have a clone but its the bast Klone ever.

Fake Pia. Not an Edge. Here is a gold Edge

Your post made me go though my Ibanez collection, I have 5 Fugigen guitars. Three RG550 and one RG750 all in between 1987-1994 and a 1999 RG7620. All great guitars and acquired when superstrats were not cool 😃 that's about the price now of a chinese copy.

Funny they went through the effort of faking a real serial.

As for replicas, I had a guy on FB built a JPM copy for me. He did the body and neck and I added the hardware and electronics: Dimarzio JP set (Dreamcatcher and Rainmaker) and Gotoh GE1996T bridge with Gotoh SG381 machine heads.

The guitar is not perfect but it looks, plays and sounds great and it was cheaper than trying to hunt a real one on the used market.

Is it a Vampire Kiss?
Nope, it's a black one and it's quite beaten up, with nicks and dents (the photo shows it clean). The guy who made my replica could make me a new body for it with a JP's theme

Thanks to AI and some after photoshopping, I have yet to decide which one I prefer. First World problem

The black one is badass, my favorite of all. I am a big fan of OG 7620 and 7621
