Nice video.

I have never gotten along with an OCD. I have had a version two, version three and a version four. I made a decent amount profit on the sale of the first two versions. Version two was the best of the bunch. Not a pedal for me.

Me neither. Mud city.

I have a version 1, I bought when you had to wait forever to get one, Still my favorite pedal.

I don’t think this pedal replaces an amp channel. It’s not a Marshall in a box. It does have a very unique sound for solos that’s fat and “liquid”. That can mean different things to different people though :) sound is hard to describe with words. I think it’s great for smooth soloing and/or some fusion playing.

I had an OCD some years back, but it didn't pair well with my Silver Jubilee. Since getting a double Hot Cake to use with my AC15, I'd like to approach the OCD the same way as my Crowther Hot Cake. Edge of breakup - slam the preamp.

That’s exactly how I use it. The amp is set to edge of breakup and the OCD is for boosting the signal into the amp.

I'm going to revisit the OCD, and also the Pro-Co RAT.

Exactly. One of the best pedals you can run into a non master volume amp or low gain channel.

That was always a great recipe for mud for mine. I just couldn't find anything that it really did well.

What were you wanting to achieve with it? Its not a super high gain pedal, I've used it in plexis, metal panel super leads. Vintage and newish fenders, friedman runt etc. But., it doesnt like the clean channel of my DSL or my bogner xtc very well.

I was using it to enhance a low to mid low gain amp. I also tried to boost a 5150 with it. For maybe two minutes, puking mud.
