If you guys like Pantera give this guys band Borderwars a listen.................

Thanks for the heads-up on Borderwars. Just ordered the cd.

Clearly a Pantera Rip, Throwdown did the same thing from 2005-2013. They went from a HC Band to Full Pantera & You never go Full Pantera.

For me the PQ3 seemed to edge out the PQ4 only slightly. The PQ3 at least to my ears had slightly more clarity and high end bite. That may be due to the fact the PQ has another lower frequency plus the extra higher frequency boost/cut at 10K or so. Either way they both sounded good.

As for the band being a rip off...I felt it was different enough to call it influenced per se especially if you listen to their other songs. The mix is excellent and extremely well mastered and for a recent band is kind of enjoyable if you like music in that genre. I also would say that for Dime fans the fact that the guitar player is pretty much playing a Dime Randall amp and guitar setup is pretty obvious and sounds killer to me which I also enjoyed.

Why not? I'd rather listen to Throwdown do Pantera type metal than listen/watch the "Pantera" tribute concert tour.
Any new Pantera type metal is fine with me. I dig the new generation of old school thrash bands that sound like Metallica,Slayer and others too.
And the countless new generations of newer metal styles that all kinda sound the same.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I agree. I didn't say they were bad just very much a copy of something done before. I truly only listened to Pantera for CFH & VDP. after that i just wasn't as interested. I Like all the new thrash bands but i also don't only listen to metal. I Listen to a Lot of Non Metal Artist as well. I'm also the King of Discovering a band later than everyone else.
