Hello !

I'm pretty new here. I've got VH4 2 days ago and I have a few questions about FX loop I haven't found any answer in manual for. I have G-Major (I know, not the best FX unit at all) plugged in parallel loop via send2 and switched as needed per preset.

If I turn the loop volume on the front panel all the way up will this loop become serial one ? I mean if the mix will be 100% ? Why I ask, I've realized my serial loop doesn't sound at all. If I plug cable into serial return amp is quiet, no sound at all. Even it Send 1 is used. And G-Major is not working in parallel loop corectlly, esp. delays sounds crap and I'm loosing volume when turned on. KillDry on G-Major is turned on.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi there, hopefully this can help.

I have a similar set up. A VH4S and a G major and I love it.
1 what midi controller are you using?
2 You need to run a midi cable to the midi board like ground control to the diezel back input
3 run a midi cable from the diezel thru in the back to the G Major
4 plug the parallel send of the diezel to the input of the G major
5 plug the parellelreturn of the diezel to the ouput of the G major

No the tricky part is teaching your midi board to switch channels and also the G Major. Depends on what controller you have. I have my parallel FX knob in the front turned to max, and then use the G major to set how much I want my FX present in each channel.

Hope this helps
