G.C. Score !

well I thought it was a good score anyways :lol: :LOL: . I picked up a black patent pending Peavey Wolfgang Standard at the local guitar center with the case and all of that for 799.00 plus tax :rock: . the neck has a nice tint to it and damn near looks roasted, with some killer figuring and lots of birdseye on the board. the guitar is very clean and has little to no fretwear on it, plus it is all original. I don't have pics because it is still on police hold until the 13th, but I was pretty stoked to find it for that price, and figured id share my story. as soon as I get it in my hands I will throw up some pics :rock: :rock: :rock:
 
Damn. Nice score. I've been thinking about grabbing a wolfie lately. Not sure, was thinking about listing my Km-7 merrow. Don't play it as much as I thought I would
 
Nice! Congrats.

The other day I bought a Charvel model 2 for 399 from GC.
Except it wasn't a model 2, it was a Charvel USA pointy reissue from 2005.
It's now my number 1 over 2 other custom shops.
Gotta love GC.
 
Last week from GC I bought a MIM Strat plus top with a Fender hard case for $399 which was a pretty solid deal. Turns out it had a Dimarzio Andy Timmons humbucker in the bridge and a Dimarzio cruiser in the neck. :rock:
 
Nice! I was looking at those in the last week or 2, and likely almost called on that one if it was on the site... congrats!
 
Killer deal! I would have been all over that myself. I have the exact same guitar that lives in the case under my bed. When I bought it no one had them. All the local stores said give us $1000 and we'll add you to the list. I asked can I pick a color? No. I wanted black. I was told they'd call the first guy on the list and if he wanted that color it was his. If he passed they'd go to the next guy on the list. The estimated wait was 6 months! I said no way I'll find one somewhere. Couple of months later I gave up and decided to buy a 5150 combo. Walk in a store. There's one on the floor at the end of a display counter. I ask to play it. Guy says sure hang on. Goes behind the counter and pops up with a black Wolfgang. He says why don't you play the amp with the guitar! I immediately say I'll take the guitar. Guy laughs like I'm kidding and plugs it in. I played the amp to be polite. Then say I'd like to buy the guitar. Guy was all stammering telling me I can't. I say why not? Here's half the money and I'll be back in 10 minutes with the rest. It's sold. Well it's not. They can't get the first guy on the list to call back. I say here's my number. I live 10 minutes away. Have the cash and want the guitar. Next day the manager calls me. Telling me they shouldn't do it. The guitar is spoken for. Can I be there today with cash? Bam! One black Pat. Pending Wolfgang...to go. They are different from the later ones. Not better per say. Just a couple little differences. I still play my tobacco PV Wolf Archtop. But the OG black Wolfgang from the Humans Being video has always been my fave of the Wolfgangs. My main guitar is a USA Wolfgang Stealth. Love it. Still prefer the gloss black look.

I had that same white Peavey Wolfgang back in 02'-03'..found it a a pawn shop in Fort Worth Texas for $300 !! Put it on layaway for 2 weeks and took it home..it got ripped off and that truly sucked!!
 
My best GC scores in recent years were a new white EVH Wolf Spec. for $499 and a new EBMM Axis Tribute for $1199. I missed by minutes an EBMM EVH for $1000.

DUDE !!!!!! that same video is exactly what made me want a black wolfgang. I have had a few over the years but stupidly sold them. this particular guitar is stunning, and I couldn't pass it up. but yeah man watching that video made me just have to have a black wolfgang :rock: :rock: :rock:

How does the USA EVH compare? I;ve had PV wolfs before but now curious on the evh. The vintage fret thing sort of has me pausing
