Ok
I have tried many different legacy hb etc and all of the G&L's I have tried seem to have this hum to them when I take my hand of strings etc. When I touch the metal or strings jack etc it stops, mind you this is when I have it on any gain channel. I have tried dif pickups, reslodering grounds trem rtc. Even the commanchee had it. Others have noticed and tried different rubber springs and new pickups which worked for them but they put in new pots and took the PTB system out... A SD JB grounded correctly doesn't hum or zzzzzzzz lol even in 2 and 4 it has it if I release my hands from the guitar... Any help??

Do you have any other guitars to check this on? I find these pretty common with guitars with single coils, less common with guitars with humbuckers, but in general when I have my hands off the strings, the guitars under gain will have more hum.

I have about 20 I have checked it on, it is an hss setup. It only happens on the G&L's I have bought. And this is not your normal buzz I have many and have had many high end guitars and really want to like these but this weird buzz they have leads me to believe the only difference is the PTB wiring system they use for the treb and bass pots..

Interesting, hiding know g&l had switched to a pcb setup for the pots. Wonder if they have an issue with the ground. May make me reconsider wanting a g&l asat and may move me back to a fender for my tele needs.

My G&L Legacy HB hummed pretty bad. Turned out the ground wire wasn't attached. Soldered in the trem cavity and it's been great ever since.

The ptb is some weird way to suck out the bass and treble through both tone pots,,, never did anything for me but im tryin sumthin else as I love the guitars theu build the asat may not have it.
