quick tip for truest tone. turn boost function on all the time, turn maximum level of boost to its max (10db i think) now it should be completely the same level as before without g system.

Ok, I'll try that, thx! I did notice that the output level w/o boost only goes to 0db, no higher which I thought was a bit odd except that as is I don't notice much, if any dropoff with the loop of the xtc on vs. off. Then again, I'm at home at my apartment so can't actually set this thing up for gig volumes till next practice. I'm actually impressed with the tape delay, its not bad at all, lol.

tape delay on that thing rocks! try what i told you, i use it like that on every preset!

Yep, actually you're totally right about the boost thing, the more I listen the more I prefer that.

;) yeah i got a few tricks with that thing. most people that hear my live rig cant believe im using the g system, i got it sounding super transparent. the next move for you to do is to tweak your global levels, now these are different from amp to amp. but when you get em dialed in you will know it. I wish more people took the time to really see what this thing can do.

Dave Friedman recommended and is putting the RJM RG16 in my rig. He highly recommended it!
Which one?

The Hawaiian artist Dave Friedman, or the composer Dave Friedman, or the fix-what's-wrong-with-government Dave Friedman, or the fifteen year old Dave Friedman or the eighteen year old Dave Friedman, or the legendary film pornographer Dave Friedman, or maybe the economic journalist Dave Friedman, or the anarchist-anachronist-economist Dave Friedman?

David (not Dave)
I'm guessing the rack building Dave Friedman whose company is called Rack Systems. BTW, Hawaiian Dave Friedman is Marty Friedman...

Actually, I think I might be able to eliminate the need for an RJM type unit by making my own medusa cable that terminates to two stereo 1/4 inch jacks. As there are only 4 switchable relays on the g system I would only be able to switch between the 3 channels and boosts (if I wired both boosts to the same relay switch, which is fine, as having both on wouldn't make a difference ). I would lose the ability to turn the loop on and off and the standby function but that may not be the end of the world. Thoughts? Seems like some guy on the tc forum has done it: http://forum.tcelectronic.com/viewtopic.php?id=159
